Review: Innisfree Manuka Honey Mask

From Innisfree Website:
Moisturize your skin with the manuka honey It’s real squeeze mask!

1. It’s real squeeze mask – manuka honey
Manuka honey from New Zealand’s manuka flowers has abundant nutrients for healthier skin.

2. Jeju green complex
The Jeju green complex consists of green tea, tangerine, cactus, camellia leaves, and orchids to keep your skin healthy.

3. Triple-layered sheet
This triple-layer sheet has a long-lasting moisturizing effect so that the essence can gradually be absorbed into the skin.
How to use

1. After washing your face, gently apply toner on your face to even out your skin texture.

2. Then, apply the mask over your entire face, avoiding your eye and lip areas.

3. Remove the mask after 10-20 minutes and gently pat your face to allow the remaining formula to absorb into your skin.

My experience:

I have a combination type of skin but it’s more on the dry side. This mask is super hydrating! Others might find this greasy or too heavy in moisture but for me, it’s just right. 😊 I might not always prefer this over fruity or herbal masks but I’m fine with this mask every 2 weeks to give my skin more moisture. After using the mask, I had to let the remaining formula be absorbed on my skin since it’s not a wash off type. It’s really a  thick formula, I’d say.

I’m currently using avocado emulsion and it’s great at doing its job in keeping my skin moisturized but I don’t mind using this mask every two weeks to get the many skin benefits from Manuka Honey 🍯.

In case you haven’t encountered Manuka Honey, here are some benefits from Mindbodygreen :

Heals acne: Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, manuka honey reduces redness and heals congested or inflamed skin and eczema. Additionally, Manuka oxygenates pores to draw out bacteria, drastically improving acne-prone areas.
Repairs skin: Manuka promotes skin regeneration, repairs cellular damage and lessens scarring.
Hydrates: When applied to your skin, manuka will hold in moisture and absorb moisture from the air for a dewy, glowing complexion.
Anti-aging: Because of its moisturizing properties, manuka retains moisture without making skin oily, the first step in wrinkle-free skin. It also inhibits MMP, a group of enzymes that destroy collagen.

My rating:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5
