Review: Nature Republic Snail Therapy 1,000 Hydrogel Mask Sheet

On the packaging:

“The Snail Therapy 1,000 Hydrogel Mask Sheet contains 1,000 mg of concentrated snail mucin extract obtained from snails raised in a clean environment…”

Yes. Snail mucin is an ‘in’ thing now with skin care products. It is an ingredient not only in masks but in face creams, moisturizers, serums, facial wash, etc.

It’s quite big (mask is quite big for my face, too!) and the concentrate inside is a lot, allowing you to use more even after removing the mask.

1 After applying toner, pull out the mask sheet from the packaging and unfold.

2 Apply the mask sheet onto the face from the lower part of the mask and move upward towards the forehead.

3 Remove mask sheet after 20 minutes. Gently pat any remaining formula into skin.

My Thoughts**

Packaging is good. The mask itself is made of agar. It’s not the usual white, thin sheet. It’s like literally applying a hardened jello on your face. I loved that there are more formula that can be applied after using the mask. It doesn’t smell weird. If you haven’t used a snail mask yet and you’re hesitating because it’s made from snail mucin, don’t worry. It feels and smells ok. It’s not bad. 🙂 Instant effect is it smoothened my skin.

The only thing I don’t like about it is it has mineral oil. Yes. I saw that sneaky little b***** only after I used the product. I’m not an extremist when it comes to these things but as much as possible, I wanna avoid them and stay within the naturally made products.
